Recently upgraded to iOS 6.1 which enabled LTE on the Vodacom network?
Experiencing many more frequent “No Service” issues since you have upgraded, which even an Airplane mode toggle doesn’t seem to fix, only a reboot?
If so, we have a simple possible fix for you that will only take a few seconds. It may well not be the solution you want to hear, however in our case and in many others it alleviated the “No Service” issue until Vodacom or Apple issues an update to fix the issue.
How to fix “No Service” Issue on iOS 6.1x:
1) Go to Settings > General >Cellular and located the “Enable LTE” toggle.
2) Switch it to OFF.
3) Reboot your phone
Simple as that!
Vodacom have unofficially confirmed there are issues when switching to and from LTE, and this seems to fix it.
