FNB iPad Mini Deal

Hey everyone,

Need some help... FNB put back the iPad Mini deals on the web so I decided to take up on the offer this morning.

I just want to know what happens from here on now.

I went to tablet order, I confirmed my order and everything and it completed so my question now is how long do I wait for something or someone to call me about it or do I just wait?

My wife phoned them on 13 Dec (did not apply online)
The communications channels are not great and effective. From what I have hear, it's much quicker and easier to pop into a dotFNB branch and apply there. Saves a lot of time. But they cannot continue the online order as its 2 independent distribution channels

Just an update: (sorry for the late update)

Placed order the 7th early morning.
The 8th I received a sms saying thank you for your apllication and application is being processed and they will advise the outcome
Weekend: Obviously nothing happened
11th 08:00 FNB sent sms to say Smart Device was ordered and sent to courier and they will phone within 24 hours.
09:00 Enginuity send a sms to confirm receipt of order and someone will phone me shortly
11:00 Enginuity phoned me and confirmed address and told me that it will take 6 working days for delivery, also got an sms of confirmation.

So now touch wood so far so good! Now the waiting begins...

For those that are near an iStore, one can apply for an FNB iPad application in the store. Once form is filled out, application is approved within 1-2 hours, which then you can immediately take possession of your iPad. In many if not all cases, the whole process takes just a couple hours from applying to having the device in your hand on the same day.

Of course one of the major factors is if the relevant store has the stock you are applying for. So just check that first of course.

Kewl thanks for this! I saw this in advert with Apple store and FNB logo so i could not understand how this work. But only saw after I completed the transaction on FNB.

I hope you are not as unlucky as me, but even after the courier confirmed 6 working days, they could not deliver. After 11 days there was still no device allocated to me (FNB said device has been delivered to courier, courier claims no stock and this no allocation)


That was during the iPad mini drought of 2012/2013 so I hope you have more luck!
