    iPhone setup. No wifi.

    Can it be done? My son's friend can't get past that point.

    The only other way I know to set it up without wifi is to directly connect it to iTunes. Not sure of any other way.

    He's on iOS 5, right?
    When at the screen to choose a wifi network, at the bottom I THINK it says connect to iTunes or something like that. Wait a while for the phone to establish a cellular connection, and then it changes to "Use cellular network" or something like that.
    Then you can use that to activate the phone.
    I've done it a couple of times since I don't have a wifi internet connection at home.
    Like a BAWS!

    I tried to activate an iPod Touch 4th gen today using wifi tethering from my iPhone 4S and it worked fine.
