Hello,
My iPad 2 has developed, a yellow tint on the right hand sight, and a slight blue tint on the left hand side. Will iStore swap out the iPad?, has anyone had any dealings on warranty replacement?
Thanks

How long have you had it?
I'm not 100% on under what circumstances but they do usually swap them out if they are within warranty period.
A friend had two iPad 2's swapped out when they were released due to different problems.
Hi
Did u purchase it directly from a i Store?
How old is the unit?
The age has got allot to do with swapping a unit, they might just replace the screen
Hi
Its 6 months old, direct from an iStore, i thought they cant really repair the ipad's?.. the problem is probably better described as the middle of the screen is nice and bright as it should be, but on the edges or borders left and right, it is a duller brownish colour, when looked at in portrait mode. I have checked other ipad's and they are not like that[hr]
I contacted the istore and was told to take it to their repair center.. how safe is it that i will do a data wipe on the ipad, is their any chance they can still get my data, if i hand in a clean data wiped ipad?
If you're worried about them accessing your data, make a backup in iTunes, then go to Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings. It should ask you then to set up the phone as new after it wipes everything. Don;t restore from backup. Then hand it in to them and when you get it back, restore from your backup.
My iPad developed something similar where I had a yellow border around the whole screen, 5mm or so in width. I bought mine from IC and they also had to book it in and send it for testing. It was a few days ago, and I haven't heard anything back yet, but I'm not sure how they're supposed to be "testing" it.

They will send it into to core head workshop which is down in jetpark, they would either replace the screen there or simply just swop it out if they cannot fix the issue.
Just make sure that you bring your receipt when you take your device to an iStore.
They experience I had with Core was terrible.
No feedback, they want all the original packaging +accessories
The when they ship it back to you they don't care about packing in neat in a box or something, They just put in a flayer and SQUASH is even.....
So please be warned...
