Apple has just announced the iPad Mini which packs in a 7.9-inch, 1,024 x 768 display (same as the iPad 2), an A5 CPU (same as the iPad 2) and LTE into it’s slim 7.2mm thick body.
Other features include a 5-megapixel camera. The iPad Mini has a reported pixel density of 162.03 PPI, at 7.9 inches and 1024 x 768.As a comparison, the iPad 2 has 132 PPI, and the iPad 3 is 264 PPI.
The device weight just over 300 grams, and features anodized edges as we have seen in the iPhone 5.
As it stands, models start from a 16GB WiFi only model, and a 16GB LTE modell, up to 64GB versions of each, shipping Nov 2nd (no word on whether that includes SA yet or not, but most probably not).
